More than just a nostalgic experience, Peak Rail now offers not simply a train ride, but the opportunity to take in the delights of the Derbyshire countryside whilst travelling behind one of our regular steam and diesel passenger trains.
Trains run throughout the year on a 4 mile section of line between Rowsley South and Matlock Riverside which was once part of the Midland Railway’s line between Manchester Central and London St. Pancras. The railway is home to an extensive collection of steam and diesel locomotives, historic carriages, wagons and other railway memorabilia, which is either owned by the railway, private individuals or one of our many groups.
For more detailed information check out ther website below where you will see further delights which Peak Rail has to offer in the form of luxury dining services, hands on steam driving courses and a variety of special events for all the family.
