The Old Station House B&B, Rowsley
Located in the charming village of Rowsley on the border of the Peak District National ParkTheOld Station House is one of the closest B&Bs to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bakewell. There are just three en-suite guest bedrooms in this beautiful property which also has off-road parking and is within a five minute walk of two restaurants and a village pub. The Old Station House was built in 1850 for the Station Master of Rowsley's new railway station. Today there are two double guest bedrooms and one twin which has extra long beds that can be converted into a superking for multiple night stays. All the rooms are fully ensuite, have TV/DVD players, Wi-Fi internet access, tea & coffee making facilities and guest information packs which contain details on local attractions, restaurants and popular walks. There is also a wealth of information on the surrounding area in the guest lounge & dining room, including guidebooks, walking maps and DVDs, all of which are complimentary for guests to borrow during their stay.
Included in the price is either a traditional full English or vegetarian breakfast, while smoked salmon and scrambled eggs is also offered as an alternative. We use fresh local produce wherever possible and our bread is homemade using flour from Caudwell's Mill, Rowsley's own working flour mill museum. Soya milk and gluten-free bread can also be provided on request.
