New Hanson Bungalow, Nr Milldale, Ashbourne

New Hanson Bungalow is a rural retreat for couples and especially families with children to safely discover the countryside (see our rare breed Grey Face Dartmoor sheep) situated above the River Dove near the picturesque hamlet of Milldale.

The Holiday Cottage sleeps up to five people and is available all the year round, and is just perfect if you want to escape for two nights, or two weeks - the choice is yours.

The property is a detached dormer bungalow within its own limestone walled garden. It has a cosy interior, is tastefully furnished and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with central heating throughout.

The kitchen and utility area are spacious and well equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, electric cooker and microwave.

The hallway takes you through to the dining room and adjoining lounge for those cosy evenings with a colour TV and video, portable CD player and a selection of books to read.

From the hallway the stairs lead you to the double bedroom. On the opposite side of the stairs there is a third bedroom providing a full size single bed.

The first bedroom is on the ground floor and is a twin room containing two full size single beds. The bathroom, also on the ground floor, has a large bath, wash basin, wc and shaver point.

New Hanson Grange Farm consists of 320 acres of permanent grassland, descending from 1000ft above sea level to the banks of the River Dove. It is stocked with sheep and pedigree dairy cattle. The farmhouse only dates back to 1883 but the farm itself is mentioned in the Domesday Book as an outlying sheep enclosure connected with the nearby village of Parwich. One area of the farm is designated a site of historical interest as it is the site of an ancient settlement, although there is little to see on the ground. Ancient burial sites or cairns can be seen in various directions from the farm.

New Hanson Grange is situated near beautiful Milldale, Dovedale, the Manifold Valley and the Tissington Trail in the heart of the Peak District. We are surrounded by hills, dales and trails. Numerous footpaths abound radiating in all directions from your door making it an ideal location for walking and cycling.

So for a special stay away look no further than New Hanson Bungalow.
